Gustavsbergsbacken

Gustavsbergsbacken, located on Frösön, offers skiing with a fantastic view of Östersund and the surrounding mountains. It is located just 10 minutes by car or bus from the city center and is a popular destination for both beginners and more experienced riders.

The slope is equipped with a T-bar lift and has a good drop height that provides a fun ride while you can enjoy the beautiful view of Östersund, especially when the city is covered in winter white landscapes. In the lower part of Gustavsbergsbacken you will find the children's slope Silverling, which has its own button lift. This part of the slope is perfect for the younger riders or beginners who want to take their first turns on the snow.

To make the day even more comfortable, there is a heated cabin by the lift where you can warm up, take a break and enjoy coffee or light meals served in the cozy café, which is run by Östersund/Frösö Slalomklubb. There are also toilets to make the visit as comfortable as possible.

Gustavsbergsbacken is easily accessible with parking on the Winter Road, and whether you are here for a short trip or a full day on the snow, the slope offers a great skiing experience in a fantastic environment.
