Mickelbacken is a ski resort owned and operated by the municipality of Bräcke, where Gällö SK Alpina, a sports club with downhill skiing as a sport, is actively involved. The association contributes with the manpower to the ski resort, and Mickelbacken offers two large slopes divided into a total of 5 sections, as well as a ski cross track.
It is easy to get to Mickelbacken, located directly adjacent to the E14 motorway, and can be reached comfortably by car just over half an hour from Östersund. Mickelbacken is about 28 miles southeast of Östersund and about 15,5 miles northwest of Bräcke.
