Hesperus Ski Area

Hesperus Ski Area is a small, locally run ski resort in southwestern Colorado, just outside of Durango. The slope has a long history as an everyday mountain for the area and is known for its simple, uncomplicated layout with a focus on the skiing itself.

Night skiing occurs, making Hesperus a popular option for locals after school and work.

Hesperus is also used for training and club activities and has a clear role in the region's alpine ski culture. This is not a destination for large lift systems or resort life – but a genuine, local ski slope where easy access, short lift queues and a focus on skiing are at the center.
