Källviksbacken

Källviksbacken, located about 3,1 miles south of Falun, is a ski resort owned by the municipality of Falun and run by IFK Falun Alpin. With two lifts and three slopes, including Familjebacken, Branten and the new training slope, the resort offers variety for both beginners and more experienced skiers.

Falu Snowpark, a well-maintained park with rails, jumps and boxes, is part of Källviksbacken and is suitable for both beginners and experienced skiers. The ski cross track from the top of the button lift to the valley station provides a challenging opportunity for ski cross enthusiasts.

The new Training Slope, opened in the 2021-2022 season, relieves the pressure on Familjebacken and focuses on alpine training. Branten, a 400-metre long slope closest to the anchor lift, offers a varied terrain for more advanced freeriding as well as training and competition for the club's older skiers.

The family slope, located between the anchor and button lifts, is a wide slope with a varied gradient. It is ideal for beginners with multiple disembarkation options from the button lift, making it a great place to start your skiing.
