I'm so lucky I have a cabin at Kvitfjell, about a thirty minute drive away. I have spent a lot of the last seven years there and know locals who can show off the piste, which may be good.

+ Sinnsvak downhill, little people, no queue, good food in the back restaurant, nice après ski in the hill (no Hemsedal Cafe just, soft but very cozy). If there is a lot of snow, you can find good off-piste. There are no huge flanks of powder, but you get a nice drive.

-Over too much shorts with speed dresses, very cold on top from time to time (but you have clothes), a small selection of slopes. The back is good for cruise in the afternoon, then the sun has disappeared in front and it gets cold, but there are some nice hills. The back is supposed to be expanded, I think it should be possible to get red to black further south on the back.

They have to get a park. I will not enter it, but they lose a lot of people on it.

+ - Clin Kokko Lita Dame Dame Sitting In Short Sale. May be fun can be scary.

It may be a bit difficult to drive up, remember chain if you do not have a good car. My faithful Mitshubishi Carisma needs a chain on slippery days.

Was in Kvitfjell at the end of week 13 It was quite ok in the morning but got very hot in the afternoon because the sun warmed the snow really. In my opinion, it is a very good facility, maybe not the largest but the backs available are very good. Especially the runway runback, because it is well you go for it .... It has everything, steep fall height, steady enough to get over, a terrific foundation, since it's a world cup back and finally it's not so many people in the hill. It is a great advantage with Kvitfjell that there are not so many people so there will never be any lift queues. The other runs are quite ok and would not be enough, so the lift pass in Gålå, Skeikampen and Hafjell is the biggest ski slope in the area.

Hello was up in Kvitfjell last season and worked up this season as well. It is, as I said, the staircase's hill that is the big thing. There are often a lot of people so you dare to stand on and now we talk to you, thinning and real flight.
They will apparently build a park on the west side this year. Otherwise, parking is not a priority for kvitfjell, but it focuses on pistol missiles. There is a nice offpiste trip far out to skiing right from the top. But beware of big lavender risk and count on a comment or two from the ski patrol if they see you.
Otherwise, there are some slimmer pairs directly on skier left from the top which may sometimes be worth adding a few turns. Another hot tip is to drive behind the safety net ... but only the upper part '.
Get updated more about kvitriket later in the season ...

Kvittfjell is a ski resort for a bit tougher. It's often crowded, but those who come there come for one thing, namely to go north's hardest runway backs much more than it does not exist, but it's superb.

Were there last spring. Beautiful hill, steep slopes. They had just flushed the backbone so it went fast !! No elevator queues to talk about.

Have been there since there has been enough snow worth the effort to stumble off the offpiste ... but the traffic jam is a worthwhile trip if you like to drive fast. Hire or bring long coat (GS / SG) and helmet. Never been anywhere in the world where you can keep such high traffic in a public open hill. "always" well-pitted, some people, a little liftköer. Were there during the season opening last year. October 17 if I do not misunderstand me. Of course, only a back was open, but the feeling of standing on its pillowboard so early in the year in Scandinavia was unbeatable! The little lift queue also offered a pair of beautiful Norwegianers =) Definitely a place to try again, a bit further into winter so I'll see the whole plant!

Small, extreme ski resort built for one thing. Störtloppsbacken ... It is quite clear when you are in Kvitis. It's not very people and the few who dare to go down to the valley are usually really cool skiers. I have heard that they have now built sidebacks to the runway so that "everyone" can go all the way down. Tragedy if you ask me.
No, you should go up and just stand on as well as it goes. At first the winter, by the Russians, the legs begin to boil. Then it's time for the promise. Can only end in a way ...
835m fall height with lactic acid. Not to be experienced every day ...
I could not try the offpiste when I was there. However, it will be added that there is terrain available, but all under the tree line.
The rating is deducted because the choice is not the best.

+ There is one of the world's most difficult runways there and good off piste opportunity.
- There are too few slopes.

Kvitfjell is the best place I have traveled in the north. It hurts Åre because there are not so many people and they have the run-up, a very wonderful pist that goes from top to bottom. Was there over New Years and it was not a liftboat and lots of snow, could it be better? Simply a superb place.
