Very nice alpby! Been here twice now the last few years and what I have to compare with is Canazei, Val Thorens and asked Gastein. In short, Val Thorens is a place I like to go with with friends, but Livingo is great to go with with the family. It is a very old and cozy alpine where the food is great at a cheap price. Skiing is good but not as challenging as skiing in France or Austria. Afterskiin is okay, you can sit in the sun with good drinks but you do not stand and jump on the tables. But summer sumarum, a nice destination!

Note, summer is for cycling and based on three visits over three different years.

Really good system with playful toy (Mottolino fun mountain side), which is crazy on an All Mountain bike, and has a mix of technical single track, DH tracks and jump / berm track. The bikepark is one of the better in the alps where many parks are otherwise very worn and most contain open, brake-bumpy tracks. One can easily reach large amounts of epic alp single track and longer trips from the lifts. Cheap city, tax free zone. 1 liter Jim Beam, 6 euros .. :)

However, hard to find good food, although it is Italy (!), Check out Tripadvisor then most seem to be seasonal workers without feeling to cook.

If you only take the beech park, it gets 4/5, but we weigh the fat AM / Enduro scratches around it will be a five!

Spent a week in Livigno 2013 (v9 / 10).

Had amazing weather, -10 C at night and +10 C on em. The sun is shining all week and not a breath of breath so you can not complain.

The city of Livigno is a tax-free zone where everything is based on shopping and it's very cheap. A bottle of Whiskey of famous brand costs EUR 6 and one liter of diesel EUR 1. Much luxury stores, but watch out, everything is not cheap just because it is claimed! When we had dinner, we never tried the taverns in the village.

The skiing is good. You can go bus between the two systems but that was no problem. Modern lifts and little queues. The backs well prepared. Unfortunately, it was not an offpiste situation when it had not been snowing for a long time. Skiing up to 3000 meters ensures snow safety. The slopes are Italian wide, but quite uniform. Same slope and width all the way down, a bit like Lindvallen fixed 4 times longer. Can not compare with Cervinia or Val d'Isere. Perhaps more opportunities are opened if you can go offpiste.

One major drawback is the almost total lack of cozy restaurants on the slopes. Most large restaurant complex with brick. Just found a nice lunch restaurant throughout the week. The only queues were at lunches. A pizza cost EUR 5.50.

Perfect place for those who want to live cheaply, like Italian food and beautiful views, have good skiing for average riders and enjoy shopping.

Was in livigno mid February 2010. Quite okay with snow and the ride was good, but no offpiste ride. One should never wait more than 1 min in the lifts that were also in good condition, but Livigno's best is that it is cheap and very good food and night life is quite okay with a few places that keep going. The weather was usually very nice except 1 day so you did not see more than 2-3m in front of our 7th. I can recommend this place to beginners and middle skiers and more for snowboarders as there are very wide slopes.

Have been to Livigno 2 years in a row, -07 and 08. You can only enjoy it! Sick cozy city, little Austria all over the place. Perhaps not the most varied or advanced ride, but fits perfectly for the average rider who likes to slide down for red well-paved rides =), huge amounts!

When I stayed there, we had a lot of luck with the weather, it does very much, but there were so bad this year, and then we were there Easter Sunday.

Livigno is so much more than skiing, shopping, party - après ski, good food, cheap liquor! Absolutely perfect!

Minus is that the village is very long and you get stuck in the part of the village you live in. And if you want to live centrally, it's a bit to the lifts, car is a big plus, but there are buses!

Definitely worth a visit! you will not regret it! Get back there!

Sun, cold, snow not snow, flat, creepy, wonderful company thanks Teamglobal;)

It has become expensive here in Livigno, food in the evening exception ...... is not one who fills my bag with sponk on my way home just.

Why do all mountain resturants have two cashiers? Order in one pay in another, is that why Italy is a banana republic?

Or is it just for regretting organized northerners ???? ;)

+ Awesome pistachio in the morning. There are signs that the slopes open at 9.00, but you are at the big lift on the west side 8.15, so get up first and you can go down until 9 o'clock.
+ Great weather when I was there, so that can vary in itself.
+ Great food.
+ Can imagine that many poorer riders like the place that the slopes were often wide and right lane.
+ Great park on the east side, there is also a smaller west side that is okay.
Can not say I used these a lot but you could see ...

"Not because I was there to go off-piste (went with the family), there seemed to be no direct opportunities for that either.
-All Russians and Danes who are completely lost.
The blacks are getting boring easily.

As said most positively but to go here for more than a week, no thanks.

You can look for the offpiste challenges
There are some shaggy ravines on the west side and then stony areas between pistes where you can soak in the snow
most Danes and families and those who do not dare to snow
Several days after a snowfall, it's enough to slash a bit and you have big nice white surfaces if you want to practice a bit of offpiste technology
but half-timed, all booked in the first week of March, half board found 67 euros with internet lift card one day 34 euro

Very positive to Livigno. Good slopes, lots of snow and good pistachio.
Good with places to eat.

Lovely place, was there in February. Sick cold evenings / nights. But we were lucky that it snowed about 30cm every night so be there well in the morning so there were pillows throughout the system !!! CRUELLY! when there were not so many people, you got many nice days all day. There were also some areas between the slopes where you were completely alone, unfortunately there were very big avalanche alerts when we were there so some real offpist never saw it.

I can not say much about the park when it was shut off because of the weekend weekend when we went home. Sad.

It was cheap when it was tax exempt when I was there about 3 years ago.

Worth a visit. Absolutely!
