Livigno is a very hot ski resort for beginners, fat guys who just want to sunbathe and drink beer but also for the average skier.

+ wide slopes
+ cheap!
+ good food
+ lovely burton park for all skiers

- not so many steep slopes
- the village is too long
- Of-piste = prohibition. However, it is allowed to have a guide with you

Summary:

Livigno may not be the ski pass that fits the advanced skier but I still think everyone should go here, no matter how much you have traveled. Or no by the way, do not go here I want the place for myself.

Positively:
Mostly relatively cheap.
Good food and drink.
Mostly nice treatment.
Fun city to spank in.
Rare lift queues.

negative:
A little strange to get there.
Not very varied rides.
Some ancient aging lifts.

Been in Livigno V9. Everything open even though it was unusually a bit of snow. Plenty of space in wide avenues and very rare lift queues. Beginners and not too advanced skiers may feel great. The ride is not very varied but you can find some challenges if you have imagination.
The seat lifts up to Costaccia are on the verge of antique and should be replaced soon. Warning for the extremely dry chairlift on the garden chair that goes from Mottolino cabin to Monte della Neve. It is locked and slow and goes down twice!
 
Good and very good food and drink in the village and up in the slopes. Varied shopping in the long village if you are interested in that. You could probably find the most among the spirits.

A big advantage is that day tourists do not exist in principle because it is a bit difficult to get there.

i was in livigno week 7-07 and that was how nice any time !!! beautiful wide hills and canoeing a little in the hillside people. Clearly, you should go skiing on Saturday when you go home. It's a change day and nobody's on the hill. I went by bus with Lion Alpine and that was nice. A definite + was that you had to go on the Saturday before going home for the bus no earlier than at 15.00. otherwise, it would be a bit more difficult than in Sweden. Te.x then costs a vodka type 40 Swedish and a beer type 4kr. But to be clear - is it forbidden to go offpiste. It is also a little Canadian. but it is clearly worth seeing. + that there was also very good food and many nice girls.

Now it's almost 10 years since I was in Livigno but what I remember is wide and calm backs, perfect for me, which was a nice new snowboarder. By the way, it was really good and cheap brand shopping, but I guess the prices have risen properly since then.

Recommended for the mediator!

A great place for middle boys. Very sad that the off-piste is strictly forbidden :( Very cozy and nice town with good food and drinks. Nightlife was quite fun when I was 16 bast. One negative thing is that the village was so sick long .. hard to get back and forth. But to add is that the taxi ride was quite cheap.

Fixed a trip with two friends was one of them + I myself was a Chariot and the third was brand new and would rent skis. Me and my brother-in-law friend made boards right before the trip, when we arrived at Malpesa / Milan, they clearly did not come up with the plane and we missed two-day riders, believing they would arrive at the hotel the day after arrival but not .

It was a really shady place for boarding and relaxing. We had the canoe trip with the weather not a cloud for a whole week and the sun was pouring in the middle of the day, so you could lie in a sun lounger with a drink without being ashamed.

Because we were there early on the singer, there were not so terribly many people, but it was still twining at 12 twins and they were then folding boards and skis to sleep a little, to pull out an hour later when they calmed down in the slopes.

Then around two hours before the lifts closed, you had the slopes for yourself, which was quite cold.
The slopes were numerous and varied, but did not go black or many red, but there seemed to be slopes for all tastes. If you do not get caught in green then you have to take another break or learn better.

The food was not so cheap and not expensive either.
What was cheap was the liquor.

There were not so many places to party on and the places where there were were quite packed with people, which was a little less than a minus. But the nightlife was very nice just sitting in a pub was nice enough.

Something I missed there was the skiing of the evening. This only had them for one night and you had to buy a 5 € lift card to be able to use. thought they were a bit good for two hours of driving.

To get there from Malpesa / Milan, take the train to Tirano and take a taxi from there. Getting together is a good idea as it seemed to be a fixed price of 90 euros by taxi for that stretch. and they take about one to one and a half hours.

At least they were a little bad when none of us went any further in Italian or German which is a plus if you can if you are going to Livigno. But it was possible to get help with English. Believed that they were few who were good at just speaking English there.

A very nice place that I will easily visit again

spent week 8 with friends in livigno 2005. The village is wonderfully cozy, so close to Austria you can come without being there. considerably more personal than overexploded French Alps. However, the village is very tall, so be sure to stay in the right place. Taxis are cheaply priced, 2 € per person and max 6 €. A week in Livigno is enough, no place to recommend. The slopes are great at all times, but because off-piste skiing is forbidden and you do not like to pay four cardboard in fine, the slopes are picked up faster than anywhere else ... by the way, super nice. bring you your own amore hit, livigno is sick romantic. but, however, the best is to go live with a big gang of friends, take over place by place and clear a week (unbeatable!). The evenings are obviously starting with cheap spirits (we do not talk cheaply, we'll talk next to the other for free) - buy a liter of € 4.6 for cooperative consumers. Continue on at Marco's (sick nice with a lot of locals, flirt with Magnus Owl-Lookalik at the bar and get free shots - he's there every year), move on to Homelywood for some rock fever, end of course the evening at Coconut (standard club, take the guys with you and let them reject all sloppy Italians) as always, always party! end with a walk home with someone holding your hand :)

Have just arrived home from Livigno. And I'm incredibly pleased with the trip, except that you got crazy over here.
The backs were very wide and well-paved very nice ride, unfortunately there was some snow when we were there but we did get a bit during the week or it was sunny from a clear blue sky. Seemed to be a bit of a "Danish paradise" there were very many Danes there. The food was a little disappointing the pasta and the pizza was really good but a meatballs were no elevators. It was immensely cheap to live there and the prince sick cheap, 1 liter Smirnoff Twister 4.70 € a liter Stroh 6.90 €
But the big impression on me is very good and I would like to go there again, but be sure to go to week 5, when the Dutch law and Austrian customs had put in extra staff, we ended up torturing the customs.

Livigno gave mixed impressions on me!
When we were there it was sunny and hot which meant that all the slopes were completely over at lunch, all offpiste skiing is also prohibited which made the sun bed use well that week!

It is not entirely wrong either, but I who were there to go skiing was obviously disappointed.
A really nice town with a few chicks like Mario's!

Sum: Half-box ride with a few good slopes and clearly a fat minus for the forbidden off-piste but one of Europe's best parks I would think.
Great food, nice people and nice atmosphere in the village!
Nice holiday resort but no place to go if you want to go skiing.
