The slope was built in the period 1965-1966 and was previously known for having a better supply of snow than many other slopes in the county. For the first two years, a private person ran the hill, and then it was leased out to various people until the early 1980s. It was then that Malmköping's Alpina Ski Club took over the operation. Although the ski club still leases the slope, they own the buildings, lifts and machines.

The ski club in Malmköping was founded by a few young people who initially received support from the local outdoor promotion. Their ambition was to participate in competitions, which required membership in an association. Thus the first steps were taken and during the 1980s many competitions were arranged on the hill as part of the club's activities. A period marked by enthusiasm and many exciting ski competitions.
