Trosabacken

Ski resorts in Sweden
In Trosa there is Trosabacken, a compact ski resort with a lift and a blue run. It is convenient to rent equipment directly on site. The facility is located next to the exercise track at Nyängsvägen.
In addition to using skis or a snowboard, you are of course welcome to bring your sled here. Part of the slope, which is prepared together with the rest of the piste, is intended for tobogganing. The toboggan run is of course electrically lit, which makes it possible to enjoy the activity even in the evening. While the children play on the slope, the parents can take advantage of the large barbecue at the bottom of the slope.

The slope is run by Trosa Alpina Klubb, a non-profit association that works hard to offer a high-quality experience for both alpine and cross-country skiing. Despite the location being relatively far south, the club is able to offer both activities early in the season, made possible by the use of a completely newly built snow system from Technoalpin. During the winter of 2022/2023, they actually managed to open the ski slope earlier than both Åre and Hundfjället, which says a lot about the club's impressive snow capacity.

Home hill is always the best hill. Then it is an incredible commitment and will to fight from all the zealots that make it work.
