Nolbybacken

Ski resorts in Sweden
Nolbybacken on Nolbykullen outside Sundsvall is an easily accessible local ski hill with great views of the Gulf of Bothnia. The setup is compact and works well for evening skiing and shorter ski days where everything is close by.
The resort has two lifts and four runs. The longest run is 2,297 feet with a vertical drop of 492 feet, which provides solid run time for a smaller area. The main slope is World Cup–approved for slalom and offers varied skiing, while the smaller slope with a button lift is designed for beginners and is located next to the café.

If you want to mix things up, there’s a 1,312-foot terrain park with simpler boxes and rails. There’s also ski rentals with ski service, and at certain times the Toppstugan lodge is open for food and drinks.
