Vårdkasberget

Ski resorts in Sweden
Vårdkasberget, with Vårdkasbacken, is a small, close-to-town ski area in Härnösand. Here you ski with views over the city, just a few minutes from downtown. The vertical drop is 344 feet and the longest run is 1,804 feet.
The kids’ slope is gentle and easy to ski, while the Main Slope and the Technique Slope leave room for more active groomed-slope skiing. In the children’s area there’s a conveyor belt for the youngest skiers. A snowpark with jumps and rails of varying difficulty expands the options for those who’d rather practice park features than carving technique.

Härnösands Alpina runs the hill with volunteer support. Ski rentals, a café with a warming lodge, and barbecue areas are available at the facility, and night skiing makes it an option even after school and work. Vårdkasberget is best suited for beginners, families with kids, and skiers who want something nearby for a shorter groomed-slope or park session.
