Skizentrum St. Jakob

Ski resorts in Austria
The ski resort in St. Jakob im Defereggental is known for its high altitude and well-groomed pistes, which have been awarded the "Piste Quality Seal" by the Tyrolean region. The majority of runs are generously wide and above the tree line. The facility's location on the north side of the mountain Großer Leppleskofel (2,881 m) means that they can last longer than in many other places when the spring sun is baking. From the top of the highest lift, you step off at 2,683 meters above sea level and get a panoramic view of countless three thousand meter peaks, including the Grossglockner and Grossvenediger, the two highest peaks in Austria.
