South of Uppsala you will find Sunnerstabacken. This ski slope is extremely popular for residents nearby and for people who want to practice for the ski season. Uppsala Alpina Center, the area where Sunnerstabacken is located, has a lift, cross-country trails and barbecue facilities adjacent to the slope. Sunnerstabacken is also popular for children. There are special slopes for sledding and a special children's slope that you will find at the bottom of the regular slope. For those who want to do some slalom, you can take the anchor lift up to Sunnerstaåsen. Up here, three different slopes await, the highest drop is 40 meters.
