Definitely the best place i visited. Snowed the whole week, 2000 v.7. Flat light, so just keep going to Le Fornet (forest skiing). Much and varied rides and unlike bushing systems like Val Thorens, you do not have to ship in transportation to, for example, come to Tignes. The village is unusually nice to be France, you have managed to keep some soul, and I built concrete hats like most other major resorts in France. There is a huge amount of offpiste in the system.
A classic

Val d'Isere

Really nice place, when you can go a little bit, because the village is 1800 meters to the highest ridge peak is 3400 (?), There are quite varied rides, forests for those who like it, a brilliant offpiste, but also a little flatter offpistbacks if you go a bit ...

There are lots of foamy pots that you do not want to fall into when the flat lights but they still have their charm to make the ride a little more exciting.

Offpisten e good when it has snowed there are sturdy openable areas that you do not have to hesitate to reach.

minus is that from the selections there are only a few lifts so it can be quite a lot of queue in the mornings

Hi, this post is mainly directed to Mattias who writes about Saint Foy on April 12 this year. Actually, his ending for himself speaks (a week-buy vodka ... SUCK) But since I know the guide that M. writes about, Jean-Marc, I just can not help. Jean-Marc is a guide who has been skiing all over the world, from Africa to Northern Norway, his knowledge and experience is widely known in Val d'Isère, fun to a boy from Sweden who goes skiing a week and tips if vodka disapproves of his tips; ) I myself spent 2 months in Saint Foy this winter and I can really recommend the off-piste. Certainly, you can get some fun, but it's half the excitement. If you are used to the chair seat in Sälen, Mattias, of course, may feel awkward ... "HAVE TO RETURN TO SAINT FOY-SPECIFIC THAT THE COSTED EXTRACT 150FRANCES", Mattias writes ... yes you say o falls 150fr should you bet on Kungsberget? Having a height of 2700m will only be even more embarrassing, partly because you rarely go higher in Valdi partly because it does not mean ballast. Yes, yes, what a fan do I really care ... This winter it will be 3 months in Saint Foy, I hope you try the place so maybe we'll see uffe

It's awesome in Val d'Isere when I was there v.2 2000 it was a bit of snow and all the offpiste was hard or wet so it was a bit pissy ... We instead took over the entire lift system and I can say we managed it in a week. The best ride was from La Grande Motte down to Tignes. Otherwise, it is worth going to Val d'Isere for the living system. In addition to the "metro lanes" there is a lift called Leissieres at the far left of the system, it's an old twin-chairlift that passes over a ridge, it feels a bit in your stomach when you just cross the crown and begin to descend. Additionally, we had no lift queens! Last time, when we went home, it started snowing. We had to sit in Geneva for 3 hours and thought of those who were going to ride all new snow the next day.

Just have good memories with me from there ..
no queues, unbelievable backs and to those who want to be offpiste, I can say that there was plenty of it. The night life is okay, although I have to say that you should have the best skiing combined with the best nightlife, St. Anton given. In Val then the hill down the Grand Motte in 25 gradient sunny weather is recommended. Not much strikes it.

Made a season three years ago. Absolutely unlimited offpiste, brittle woodland skiing, telis tours, Suvve offpist guide book, good hump, good nightlife, St Foy is close by (ÅK !!), expensive food (go down to Bourg St Maurice). If anyone thinks that Val d'Isere is messy, they have not been there. A couple of friends went in to go to the corridors, they went almost forty ...

Comments were unnecessary, I thought I was writing first, but then I realized that maybe you should get something else on print. Val d'Isère has long been a special place in my heart after the season I spent there a number of years ago. Was then on a return visit earlier this year and everything was just like before. That is, incredibly good. Got 4 (out of 6) days of loose island. The Fornet forest was the same (luckily), the trees are almost deployed to provide optimal forest skiing. When the sun is looking forward, loosening is optimal.

The advantage I think is with Val d'Isère is that there is something for everyone. Those who want to go in well-steeply groomed slopes and the extreme skier who are looking for couloirers find their own light spot.

Then we have the nightlife. There is a plethora of restaurants and pubs. Afterski with incredible drag and disco all night. If you feel like it, you can get home cramped with fatigue and take advantage of another holiday week to recover in Sweden or the River.

After a season in my opinion, one of Europe's best ski resorts, I only have a positive say about Val d'Isere. It is a ski system for all categories of skiers, both puddle gods and childbackers like this. The village itself is probably the only one in France that is reasonably cozy, although the hotels are generally safe.

I think it was one of the best places I've been to with a small and compact city, it was easy and easy to get anywhere.
You also did not have to go bus to the lifts which is a plus.
The only downside was that they had so loud music at Dick's tea bar

Visited the resort from 1-8th April 2000. It is a very good organized system. High-tech lifts (train in the mountain, etc.) The ride was cruel. Little people overall and lots of snow everywhere. At the top
In the system there is Fornet. Here you go high (3300m) and you are alone. We found some good offpist here. It seems that all tourists do not find the most out of the system? The sharpest ridge is gone in Tignes and on, among other things, La Grande Motte. We found cruel off-piste skiing below and at the side of the cabin that rises to 3456 meters. Fall height is cruel
about 1000 meters or 1300 meters if you go down to the highest tiger village. It is possible to go offpiste in principle all the way 9 km !!!! It is also really steep: 35-50 degrees.

Would also like to raise a warning sign for the guides on Top-Ski that Ski Tignes works with. The guide was nonchalant and did not care about the safety of the group. We were also persuaded to go to Saint Foy (30 min) from Val disers, where it would be dreaming. The guide "Jean Marc" meant that it was discovered so fast in Valdisere and that Saint Foy was sovereign.

However, we found better riding the day after without a guide. SEE TO RETURN TO SAINT FOY-SPECIALLY, THE COSTED EXTRA 150FRANC. Certainly it could have been a cannon, but the town is lower (highest 2700), so there were very bad conditions at the bottom of the field (in April), muddy and grass everywhere. We received much after and money back from Ski Tignes.

The week was, however, cruel as a whole and the village is lovely with a multitude of exhibits. Viktors is the pub where all North Africans go after skiing. One tip is to buy home some cheap vodka, Vlakoff rocking !!!
