A classic. Be here 2002 with UCPA and will be guaranteed to return another season. Here's why

+ enooormt ski area, slopes everywhere in all colors
+ high ridge, even glacier rides
+ fantastic opportunities for off-road skiing. For example, in the forest of Le Fornet.
+ nice atmosphere in the village. International environment.
+ very good nightlife

But there are also some disadvantages of course:

- pissed off expensive
- The village feels a little "Disney" - everything is new and flashy, it does not feel authentic

One of Europe's absolute best resorts, no doubt.

Yes, there is not much that has not already been said about the resort. But I would love to. It is definitely one of, if not the world's best ski resort. We were there V, 13 however, it is a little late in the year (the snow was very sloppy).

A really good place in the Alps! Helbra backs and fun nightlife. Even plus for the village, which is a bit cozy than many other French alpine villages! Just think it's Alpe d'Huez which is better than Val dIsere !!!

I was there winter 06 with the family. It was very cold in the morning with late afternoon there was a crazy temperature and quite a bit of snow. The slopes were very icy down to the village, but those to the top were wonderful. Once we found the west side we never wanted to go there, we really went from the lifts opening until they closed. It is so sickly lovely restaurant on the slopes and aftershin was really good! We have already decided that we will be back in 2009. The only thing that would have been good was to go a little later, then they have a lot more snow

Positively:
Good park, good offpiste, big system and there is always something fun to do or take care of! There is something for everyone.

Less good:
Sorbet glass in the blue slopes down to the villages for the day. However, maybe it is different earlier this year, I was here at 14, during Easter week.

Summary:
Here I go as soon as I can! However, it was the first time in the Alps so I might need something to compare with. Finally: You have not been skiing until you have been in the Alps, it is said that the trip to Val d'Isere was a reflection of that phrase. Canon weather, cannonball and gunmen!

Were in Val d'Isere v 8 2007. Is the most pisper nowadays and espace killy is the best system I experienced the 30 years I have been active in the slopes. The system is well connected, some queues (v8), mostly fast lifts and good fall height. Lovely ride from the glacier in Tignes (make the trip early for here, there will be a little queue to the cabin) down to Val Claret in the red slopes glacier, face and double M with just over 1000 fall meters, up again with the lifter les lanches and back down in double M There will be a lot of rides. Another wonderful trip is the beginning of the blue corniche which then turns into black sache where you end up ending in Tignes Les Brevieres. A journey of about 1200 fall meters. A lot of rides became more close to OK and Orange down to Daille. Lovely après ski at the restaurant above the piste G (though off for competitions) with live music with musicians, drummer and everything that played on the roof of the restaurant.

Much business but otherwise expensive to eat in the slopes and restaurants in any case, it feels like there are many in the family. Would love to come here again. He does not finish on all slopes.

Been there last week. It snowed 6 days out of 7. Cruel off-piste, but unfortunately I was not impressed with the slopes as a fighter. Too many flat shuttles and you do not want to stay in the same place all the time so you get so badly forced.

The village is nice and there are lots of places for all tastes: after skiing, nightclubs, got etc. If you are going to recommend a place, it will be Grand Marnier, located in the center of the big pond. They have cruel wine chaud (excuse spelling). It is a French answer to Glögg. Really good, at least.
Mori's pub usually has something similar to Swedish after-ski clearance, otherwise it is quite quiet at the other places we have visited.

Really good skiing, we got a snow pump in the middle of the week so it was nice to do some powder skiing one day!

The hotel was not the best, but it's not where you should be, but on the slopes! Cruelly!

I was here the winter 06 with my brother, really cruel pist / offpist and good park. Good with snow, we were here in February and quite good nightlife if you prefer it in front of the ride. One thing that is damn nice is that the piste is not so bad because of the large amount of slopes, but snow is snowy and it's not like in Åre at 12 o'clock. Snow is like snow, but it's dry and light.
