Alebacken

Ski resorts in Sweden
Alebacken is located just north of Gothenburg and from Avenyn it takes about 30 minutes to drive by car. When the E45 was rebuilt in 2009, stone masses from the road construction were used to increase the fall height by 10 metres, so now the total drop height is 70 metres. There are three lifts in total, an anchor lift and a button lift that goes all the way to the top, plus a shorter lift for the little ones who serve the area's children's slope. From the top, there are two slopes down.
There is both ski rental and ski school available on the slopes and also a café to warm up in. In the summer, downhill biking is offered on several different courses of varying difficulty. It is clear that Alebacken manages to do a lot with the relatively small drop height, already the year after they first opened for downhill cycling, they got to arrange a competition in the Swedish Downhill Cup!
