Hello
Just returned from Alpe d'heuz and can say that it is a good system for everyone, good park, good and easy-to-use offpsit. Great long and nice slopes (those who are groomed) and walked in good black slopes. On the minus side it can be said that the slopes could be better taken care of but the worst thing is that all seat lifts are incredibly slow and old which makes you go for a seat lift. The price level is as it is with such a weak crown. However, it is good that at most resturants the meal is also available in English.
A system with a great potential if you do something about the chair lift and replace some of the button lifts (really fast).

Was there January 2008 with the girl. 2 weeks before I went in val'd ice cream and wrecked! Did you like the schyyst place with the right system (though much less than val'disere) and nice ride if you want everything a bit closer ... Perfect if you're going there with the girlfriend, but to go there with polar to throat! But short and good: recommended! Much sun, a bit less unpleasant French, very good ground (at least then) and cheaper.

What over all Christmas last year. We really had plenty of snow, which does not seem to be the case in the rest of the Alps at that time. By the end of the new year there were two-dimensional pillows and that's really all my review is based on. the village became enchanted! there were pillows really everywhere. best ride in my whole life. and in the evenings everyone was in ecstasy because there was so good skiing all the time so the nightlife was very good. celebrated 13 evenings of 16 and pours almost as many. felt like the party or pillows would never end!

so my advice is: go to the alpe d'huez when there are a lot of pillows, then it breaks everything!

The best place of the Alps !!! Clearly all categories!

I've been to almost all French ski resorts and also a large number in Austria & Italy, but nothing beats Alpe d'Huez! Incredibly well planned city and ski system. Perfectly perfect ski system and very easy to get around! The nightlife hits everything else in the Alps! The underground is among the wildest I've been to, maybe because there are a little more Dutch there. But the times I've been there has actually been good with Swedes as well as being released! Alpe d'Huez always has the sun! Really, they're crazy as much sun there, but maybe so when it's so far south in France. However, this does not in any way hurt the ride. There is always a lot of snow there too!

Does it seem strange that Swedish travel companies do not raise fame Alpe d'Huez more than they do. They almost get the place to sound like a famlijeby, but they are not really! Here are the parties that beat St Anton & Bad Gastein with horse lengths and black slopes that never end !!!!

But iofs, there is also a huge beginner area that makes it very good for beginners. Should I bring a mate who never went to the Alps, it would have been to Alpe d'Huez. There are lots of beginners backs, so you have a nice nature experience, even as a beginner !!!

Go to the Alpe d'Huez if you want the Alps 'best backs and the Alps' best nightlife !!!!

Alpe d'Huez is a place that has really evolved lately! Been there last winter and can not agree on what has been written before. The nightlife in Alpe d'Huez is crazy! Compared to Chamonix & Val Thorens, it was much more wild. Not as many taverns to bars at a much faster pace in all places! We were really fun when we went out to make the town unsure :) but iofs not so many Swedish were partying there, but as long as you're ready to party with Dutch to English, it's a cruel party!

The ride is also very good, very steep slopes and easy to find untouched! The tall black back was absolutely wonderful, do not remember what it was called because French words are so difficult, hehe ... Then it's really funny that the village is as it does. We went home many times to cook pasta for lunch which was no problem as we could go skiing to and from the hotel ... which one can do virtually anywhere ...

Rating is clearly 5 snowballs out of 5!

This will be short and concise because there are already so many reviews.

+ More or less everyone who goes here is safe to go = much stays untouched for a long time

- The mountain is sickly slippery to be the alps = get a really good ride

- The lifts are correspondingly flat (see above), in addition, most are really slow

- Really many leaves blades, blades make me both sad and angry

- Most of the sun is sunny

Were down in the Alpe d'huez week nine -04.
We were six friends who drove a bus down with nortlander, which was quite rude with buses in the middle of the night due to closed passes, etc.
As redtop mentioned, they do not handle the system properly, but all halfway up to the top becomes fast-paced, even some of the harder slopes from the top were completely broken for several days before it snowed. It was what made the week worth the money clearly think it was snowing for almost one and a half days in the middle of the week when we were there, and because the nightlife in alpe d'huez sucked you were not completely endangered without hurricane coming up early. La Seine, the best and longest slope (before all snow was overlooked) had a half-mile of loose snow, and in the surrounding areas you could go untouched pillows all morning - definitely the best day of my life so far. The party factor in Alpe d'Huez is a depression so if you go down, you should do it with a busloaded mate so that you can take over the place. Otherwise you have to settle for really good skiing, whether it's snowy or bad weather, relatively misguided slopes and cozy homemade nights in the clash-phobically crowded apartment.
But because I had a day of "heavenly good" skiing, alpe d'huez gets a four ..

My recession is based on week 10, 2004. We traveled charter with Nortlander and flew to Grenoble. We traveled there were 6 rather incessant telis / slalom / skiers aged 27-36 with about 15-20 ski days a year.

We stayed in the apartment at Pierre & Vacances Ours Blanc. The apartment was on two floors for 7 people, but it was really crowded already for 6. A typical French 70's concrete bunker apartment that was not a dull cozy but worked OK.

It had not snowed just about three to four weeks when we came down so outside the slopes it was rocky and the rental guide judged we were not worth the money. We had to stay on the slopes that were no elevators! Poorly prepared and really iced in many places. The slightly steeper black slopes (Balcons, Tunnel etc) were not pissed at all.

The actual lift system (http://www.alpedhuez.com/doc/doc_Plan_P.jpg) is no altitude because you have to go to long queue cabins in many places. The Herpie lift up at Pic Blanc was approved and even the slopes down from Signal de L'Homme. La Fare down towards L'Enversin d'Oz was fun, but it was puke to get back from the system.

The village is dominated by French, English and Danish, as noted in the slopes! Very blueberry that gets zickzacka around. Also a lot of puzzled French who turn around and point and scream when someone walks past Telisar.

Summation:
No place I go back to or recommend to experienced skiers. Could it be good if it dumps half a meter of snow, but which place is not good then?

recenssion based on stay March-month winter 2002/2003.

reflections:
The 1 off-piste is fantastic, challenging and largely separated from the lift systems, ie you get incredible close to nature and release lots of off-piste riders. far after snowfall, you can still find unspoilt snow! however, this also means that the off-piste is relatively difficult to access unless you know the nerve that can show off. The surfaces seen from the lifts are to a large extent also difficult because large cutters close many surfaces. Are you really crazy about getting up in the alpine terrain, I suppose you can have the lead of the off-pist guide book available for purchase locally. for my own sake, after reading the first description of these slopes, this would definitely not be an option for me (even less when I'm going to board). The off-piste down through the several natural ravines on the back also ends with hopping 15-45 minutes.

The 2 half-pipe has been built in various places over the years. In the winter of 2002/3 it lay on the mountain next to a chair lift, after having previously laid the perfect end at the bottom of a sled lift, where the big jump was now low. perceive the beep as less than official competition size and moderately managed. completely unpopulated when it was in the upper part of the system.

The 3 fun park felt well flat and not so good for serious hop training. most designed like a boarder cross with a few extra jump here o there. 1 straight rail and a bow. Trysil, I think, I have a very good park regarding training on everything except big jumps and boarder cross. perceived flackness resembles it in the fun parks of the year - that is quite flat.

The 4 big jump was built at the bottom of the village at the tow lift and was very big (for racing purposes).

The 5 nightlife is a bit more limited than the biggest alpiners, but in the high season there are more after-skin & nightclubs. if there is a place for seasons, I never got to know though ... seasonals do not seem to occur in the same extent as in many other major French exports. good luck o ...

My recommendation is to go there if you know someone who can show you around a bit or you can spend some money on the guide a few days. this in combination with being close to la grave, brewery chevalier, les deux alpes etc. Lift ticket cooperation is available (if one of the tastiest places in between) - check their website.

The rating below 4 out of 5 refers to skiing. Not full pot because of a difficult access offpiste.

Typical "tourist machine" MUCH English charter tourists. Many Dutch people and Danes draw and impress the impression (then we will have the off-piste for ourselves ..). Nice skiing - ugly town.
