Had a long weekend in January 2014 in Vemdalen, with a ride in both Vemdalsskalet and Björnrike. In both places there were very few people on the slopes = no lift queues. The slopes were well prepared and there was good snow in the woods. Outside the slopes on the Kalfjället, however, the stones stood up so the skis got a lot of scratches, but in the woods it was much better. We had one of our best skiing days in Björnrike in the area around the Grizzly Express. Forest skiing with 30-50 cm pillows, and basically completely untouched !!! Totally amazing! Then it was just going on to the piste that had 5-10 cm of snow as well. A big plus for the nice heating at the end of the hill and that everything is so easily accessible. Good area for all, adventurers like families with children. And when there is more snow, there are more nice areas outside the piste. However, one could scratch the forest a bit, to get the forest shed even further down the slopes.
Björnrike has more longer runs than Vemdalsskalet, the best piste is probably the Storslalombacken. More cozy accommodation in the Vemdalsskalet.

A perfect ski resort this year has become even better with the new Grizzly Express. For us as a family of children, I think it's hard to find something better within Sweden's borders. There are slopes for all tastes that make skiing a pleasure. Development opportunities still exist, saw it today. Why not a chairlift from beyond the entire hotel system - would be a perfect steep slope.

We have had a cottage in Björnrike in type 7 years, and I still crave every time I go there. I see that many people write that it's only for families with children, but there is skiing for everyone! From parking on the gray hills to nice rides down the bear valleys. Also fun that there will be a new chairlift for next season - GRIZZLY EXPRESS - going from Björnvallen to a new peak, it will be a boost for the entire plant!
+ Skiing for everyone
+ Snow proof
+ Gladest staff
- Check afterski at the hotel (much better at the bear farm!)

Björnrike is simply ill good for its size. It may seem small when you look at the pistemap but once you are there you notice how perfectly it is. Really good park, nice slopes and offpiste opportunity and beautiful forests. However, there may be some lift queues in the morning when everyone is down in the pot but nothing is too dangerous.

Just stay away from the hotel's pizza buffet, Björnrike is better than both Klövsjö and Vemdalen together!

björnrike is a soft place, has been there soon for 6 years, if there are no mistakes, but everything will improve. will be there for Christmas and Easter today, but they should fix the park earlier, you are tagged for it when you come to Christmas but then it is not built. A little disappointed then you will be.

A family place for comfortable but far too easy skiing.

Are you looking for advanced skiing, you have - not even in Sweden to do - not in Björnrike to do. Not one of Vemdalen's slopes can provide skiing that satisfies a vans rider.

However, idyll is more important when skiing in Sweden's borders and then Björnrike is wonderful. But as I said, it is more for families than for the young party person.

However, the park is okay when the surface is "pushed" and when the children in Björnrike do not occupy the entire park area.

A week in Björnrike every year since 2 years old will suffice, even if there will be a week there this season as well. But to go there for skiing or nightlife is nothing I can recommend - there's nothing good with any of it!

The family is the one who can act "center" when you are in Björnrike. But hey! It's good enough, huh?!: D

I think the park was Maybe it might have some more fun things like walride and pipes, but it's so extraneous.
- that he who pisses the park is bad he does not know how to piss kick and land
- Many guys and guys walking around the park
+ nice family feeling

Have been going to Björnrike for 27 years and is very pleased.

The layout of the entire ski resort is perfect with good skiing and nice slopes.

Furthermore, the facility is suitable if you have smaller children, it is easy to keep in touch with each other.

The small negative is that you should have a chair lift up to the top.
