Bousquet Ski Area is a classic ski slope in western Massachusetts, just outside of Pittsfield, with roots stretching back to the 1930s. It is one of the oldest continuously operated ski resorts in the United States and has long served as a local hub for alpine skiing in the Berkshire region.
The facility is small in area but compactly laid out, with short lifts and slopes that make it easy to get many rides in a day. The focus is on piste skiing on varied slopes rather than large transport systems or long runs. Snowmaking covers most of the area, providing stable conditions during the season despite the limited mountain.
Bousquet is widely used for training, night skiing and local competitions, and has historically been an important place for ski development in the region. There is also a terrain park and opportunities for organized skiing activities, which makes the resort a clear example of a traditional North American "community hill" with strong local roots.
