Perfect when you really want to put large carving turns without having tons of people around each crest

Great place if you want a lot of skiing and don't have to queue. Everything from simple children's slopes, black slopes, ski-cross and fun park. Very family friendly.

Went to Bydalen for the first time three years ago. Had no greater expectations but was very pleasantly surprised, and it has become my absolute favorite facility in Jämtland. The resort is incredibly scenic and lies in a narrow and beautiful valley. The slopes are well groomed and there are a lot of varied rides. Liftköerna is basically non-existent, especially if you are in the middle of the system. There is also a lot of available forests, and a nice off-piste for those who are prepared to go a little bit.

There are clearly disadvantages as well. As others have said, it is difficult to get from one end of the system to the other when the elevators in the high zone are not open. It is also very badly marked, which can make it very frustrating when you fail to find the right one. There is also a seat lift missing, which is a pity when it would really lift the plant if one existed.

Despite the absence of sensible signs and a seat lift, it becomes a full pot for Bydalen. The resort is truly a gem!

Nice slopes, recomend the main course, it was really good.
The upper lifts were not open yet but sunny and fine with 12 degrees minus and light wind.

Great little gem with Jämtland's second largest ski system. Has it dumped really - so both the high and low zone are open - I think it's great to be when the crowd is often right so queues and other things that can affect your ski humor barely exist. Biggest minus is that there are only anchor lips but when your feet start to get used to it, it's all right. Recommended!

To Bydalen you go if you like peace and quiet, long slopes, easily accessible offpiste and family friendly on the slopes. If you want water parks, six-seat lifts, shops and après ski, there are much better alternatives. You will not get any of this.

For me with two children who are 10-12 years old and like peace and quiet and zero lifeguards, Bydalen fits very well. We can all three give us off to the offpiste "adventure" which is of the kindest kind, or to go long beautiful days in well-prepared pistes all day long.
If I want to be challenged there are a few more challenging offpiste opportunities in the ski area but they are pretty soon resolved. If I'm against it, I get the hurricane to knock myself, there is the dream and some other possibilities. This requires good avalanche knowledge, the right equipment and local knowledge. Can get if you rent ski school teacher / guide but there is no ski school doing any major advertising.

The bid is suitable for me right now when I go with my family, but should I go with my friends, we want some bigger challenges.

Just want to mention that the investment in the expansion of snowman systems in Bydalen this season has really given results !!! :-) Was there v8, and the slopes have never been so nice despite sparing snow in the terrain. Received information that the expansion of the snowman system should continue even in the high zone. Get there again v15, so it will be exciting to see if the slopes are also better on the spring.
Sorry, there is still a chairlift !!! :-( A chair lift would make Bydalen an even more amazing ski resort! :-)

Genuine wildlife feeling in Skidsvær's perhaps finest mountain scenery.

just want to remind you that the official lift map for Bydalsfjällen does not really match. The far west, the Falkfångarlift, has not been in operation for several years.

Was there on 6/6 2015 and then unfortunately the whole system did not open, two of the lifts up on the Kalfjället had not been running ever since there had to be a lot of transport stretches to get between the slopes, a lot of strike there. The first few days there had been a couple of decimeters of snow, which was beautiful but unfortunately only the low zone was open and there was a good flacks so with the snowy snow on the flat slopes you could hardly get ahead. A little later when parts of the high zone opened we came to steeper slopes and even came out of the slopes a bit :-)
One problem was that sometimes you could get to a lift just to find out that there was no one and it was closed while other times when you reached a stationary elevator, they ran it when you got there, nobody found it info about which lifts were open and not, the staff in the lifts also did not know what was going on.

Imagine that the place is superb if you know better and know where to go outside the slopes because there were hardly any people there to find untouched snow several days after the snowfall.
