Coffee Mill Ski Area

Coffee Mill Ski Area is a small, non-profit ski resort in southeastern Minnesota, located in hilly terrain above the slopes of the Mississippi Valley. The slope is run by the local association Coffee Mill Ski & Snowboard Club and is a clear example of classic Midwestern skiing with strong local roots.

The resort offers a compact lift system with a focus on piste skiing on shorter but varied slopes. The terrain is characterized by natural gradient shifts rather than a long fall line, which makes the skiing technical and easily accessible rather than speedy. There are both easier slopes and steeper alternatives, as well as a smaller park element when conditions allow.

Coffee Mill is widely used by local skiers and clubs and has for many years served as a training and meeting place for the region's alpine skiing. It's not a destination for big mountain experiences, but a hill where proximity, simplicity and commitment are at the center – just like many of America's classic community resorts.
