Welch Village

Ski resorts in USA
Located in the Cannon River Valley in southern Minnesota, about 40 minutes from the Twin Cities, Welch Village is one of the largest and most well-known home slopes in the area. This is a facility built to provide a lot of skiing per hour: short transports, many slopes and good flow in the lift system.
The ski area has around 50 slopes spread over about 57 hectares of skiable area, with a vertical drop of about 360.9 feet. The terrain covers everything from beginner slopes to more demanding alternatives, which means that both families and more experienced skiers tend to find something to grind. For those who like to play, there are also park areas, and it is a typical place where you quickly get in many laps.

The snow in Minnesota can be uneven from year to year, so access to artificial snow on all slopes is an important part of the experience. The average natural snow is around 44.9 inches per season, but with snow production, Welch Village can often maintain good ground even when winter hesitates. In addition, there is evening skiing, which makes it extra attractive for anyone who wants to go after work or school.
