Golå (Gålå) is a hidden little gem located in Gudbrandsdalen just north of Ringebu/Kvitfjell. They struggle a bit up there because of few visitors. That`s a shame. The scenery is quite spectacular. The only hotel in operation is Wadahl. But a very nice hotel in the middle of everything with a world class view. Huge mountains in the background.

There are slopes on both sides of the valley. On the east side there`s a drag lift and two ok slopes. Probably about 175 elevation metres. On the other side (short and easy passing. Drag lift in between.) there`s a chair lift. A bit old and slow. But the runs down are awesome. Not very long, but still 310 metres elevation. Spectacular view from the top of the mountain. One steep, black run. And one long, fun green slope which grew on me when I got used to it on rock hard conditions on my last visit. Rollercoaster :)

I`ve been there twice. The first time was powder heaven over the tree line from Valsfjell/top of the chair lift.

It`s very family friendly here. A nice place to take kids. Don`t expect crazy and crowded after ski. But I wonder if this could be a hidden paradise for powder hounds...
