Silvapark Galtür

Silvapark Galtür is located at the very end of the Paznaun Valley in Tyrol, near the Swiss border. It’s noticeably quieter than Ischgl, but also more alpine than many family-oriented areas of the same size. The setting is high and snow-reliable, with the Silvretta Mountains all around and a distinct high-alpine feel above the village.

The ski area has 27 miles of slopes and 10 lifts. Silvapark is divided into several zones, which makes the area unusually easy to navigate: kids and beginners have their own sections, groomer skiers get the wider runs, while more experienced riders can find freeride terrain, ski touring, and a snowpark in other parts of the system.

If you want more than standard groomed runs, Galtür is worth a look. There are designated freeride zones, more open faces, and uphill touring options close to the lift network when conditions line up. It’s not a huge ski area, but the terrain feels varied and more mountain-focused than the numbers suggest.

Silvapark Galtür is best for skiers who want a quieter home base in Paznaun, strong snow conditions, and a mix of groomers, park, and natural terrain. It’s a solid choice if you want to avoid Ischgl’s pace but still get a true alpine vibe and the ability to mix up your skiing.
