Hintertux

Hintertux is a glacier resort in the middle of Tuxertal, a half an hour drive from Mayrhofen. The skiing takes place just over 10,000 feet and down to 4,900 feet above sea level. Here you can enjoy first class skiing with great variety. You will find everything from well-prepared slopes to freeriding. A nice detail worth mentioning about Hinterux is that the ski resort is actually open 365 days a year. During the winter it offers 143 miles of slopes. In the spring you can enjoy the warmer weather and sunny days while exploring 37 miles of slopes on the glacier.

Hintertux is a beloved ski resort and it is easy to understand why. Aside from the fact that the slopes are varied, long, and challenging, it is a place where skiers constantly stop to just enjoy the landscape. The Austrian mountain peaks that pop up on the horizon, the deep valleys and the small alpine cabins will make any skier turn into a mountain romantic.
