Hochzeiger - Jerzens

Ski resorts in Austria
Hochzeiger is located in the Pitztal Valley in Tyrol, above the village of Jerzens, and is a sunny, fairly compact ski area that works well for both families and more ambitious on-piste skiers. The skiing ranges from 4,757 to 8,202 feet, and 90 percent of the runs are above 6,562 feet, which usually provides a good buffer when winter conditions are inconsistent.
There are 34 miles of slopes and 9 lifts, with a clear emphasis on intermediate skiing. The breakdown is roughly 9 miles easy, 17 miles intermediate, and 7 miles advanced, so you can ski for a long time without getting stuck on nothing but connector runs.

Snow reliability is supported by a robust snowmaking system, and around 90 percent of the slopes have access to man-made snow. If you’re into terrain parks, there’s both a snowpark and a kids’ funline in the area above the mid-station.

If you want more natural terrain, there are opportunities for tree skiing and more open bowls in the sidecountry when conditions are right, and the area is often mentioned as a great place to progress off-piste without it feeling huge or exposed.
