Klövsjö/Storhogna

Ski resorts in Sweden
Many are the number of young Swedes who have grown up with Klövsjö and Storhogna as their family's preferred destinations during the winter holidays, and there is a reason for that. It is a typical Swedish low mountain system where most skiing takes place below the tree line and the lift system is well thought out and well-functioning. Simply perfect for families with children. With that, however, it's not to say that there isn't challenging riding for most people there. There is a selection of black slopes, and it also happens that the Swedish national team stays in the ski area to train. For those who want to ski above the tree line, it is also possible, at Storhogna the lifts go above the tree line and provide access to open snow fields.
For those who still want further variety, Björnrike and Vemdalsskalet are within 20 minutes by car or the ski bus Snöpendeln. The snow shuttle also makes it easy to get to Klövsjö, the train goes all the way to Vemdalen, from where it is possible to go with the Snow Pendulum the remaining little bit to Klövsjö.
