Krvavec

Located just outside Ljubljana's city center, Krvavec is one of Slovenia's most easily accessible ski resorts, with a gondola directly from the valley up to the ski area. The location provides a clear contrast between the city and the mountains, and from the top there are extensive views of valleys and mountain landscapes.

The ski area consists of a combination of modern chairlifts and older lifting systems. The slopes are mostly open and relatively wide, with a focus on groomed skiing. In weaker natural snow conditions, artificial snow is used extensively, which can provide a firmer surface.

The terrain is gently undulating rather than steep and is mainly suitable for piste skiing. The opportunities for off-piste skiing are limited and highly dependent on the snow conditions, but the open nature of the landscape provides good visibility and good views, especially in clear weather or evening light.

Krvavec is not a large ski resort, but offers a compact and easily accessible ski area with reasonable lift prices and an environment that differs from the more classic alpine destinations.
