Vogel

Vogel is located above Lake Bohinj, on the edge of Triglav National Park, and is reached by gondola directly from the valley. The trip up offers sweeping views of the lake and the surrounding mountains, and already there Vogel differs from many other Slovenian ski resorts.

The ski area spreads out on a relatively open plateau above the tree line. The drop is moderate and the terrain is generally soft and flatter than in several other alpine resorts. In limited snow conditions, parts of the system are sensitive, but with good snow cover, there are conditions for easily accessible skiing in open terrain between slopes and lifts.

Vogel has a limited lift system and focuses more on calm skiing than on variety and challenge. The overall impression is a relaxed ski resort where the view and the environment play at least as big a role as the skiing itself. For many, Vogel is therefore an alternative for shorter visits, breaks in travel or skiing in combination with nature experiences around Bohinj.

Skiing is complemented by cafés and cafes with panoramic views, which means that Vogel also attracts visitors who prioritize the environment, tranquility and landscape rather than the number of slopes and lifts.
