Lélex-Crozet is located in the French Jura Mountains near Geneva and is a connected ski area within Monts Jura. Lélex and Crozet are linked by lifts, while Mijoux–La Faucille and Menthières are separate areas. There are 12.4 miles of groomed runs between 2,953 and 5,512 feet in elevation, with a vertical drop of 2,559 feet. That provides a relatively large amount of vertical skiing for a compact ski area.
On the Lélex side, the runs wind through spruce forest, while the higher sections offer views of Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc. The 21 runs include plenty of easier terrain, but also six red and two black runs for those looking for more of a challenge. The focus is on varied on-piste skiing rather than a huge number of trail miles.
From Crozet, the Le Fierney gondola takes skiers up to the slopes, making this side a convenient entry point from Geneva. Snowmaking helps coverage in parts of the area, but operations depend on snow and weather.
There are opportunities for powder skiing off-piste when conditions allow. However, the proximity to the Haute Chaîne du Jura nature reserve requires respect for the area’s rules—off-piste skiing isn’t unlimited. Lélex-Crozet is best suited for on-piste skiers who want a solid vertical drop in the Jura, and for families with skiers at different ability levels.
