Montchavin Les Coches

Montchavin Les Coches are two contiguous village locations on the French side of Paradiski, located on a wooded hillside above the Tarentaise Valley. The location provides quick access to the entire lift system via the Vanoise Express, while skiing near the villages is dominated by protected forest terrain and well-connected slopes. This makes the area efficient to get around in, even on days with poorer visibility or wind.

The skiing is characterized by long, even slopes that link down to the villages and further up to the Les Arcs side. The range of pistes is varied without being extreme, with many routes that combine flow and continuity rather than short, steep sections. The forest around Montchavin and Les Coches also provides good opportunities for skiing between the trees adjacent to the slopes when snow conditions allow, which often makes the mountain easier to ski than more exposed parts of Paradiski.

As part of one of the Alps' largest contiguous ski areas, Montchavin Les Coches works well as a base for those who want to prioritize efficient skiing over a big city feel. The combination of direct access to Paradiski's high altitudes and a more protected, cohesive local area gives a clear character that distinguishes the resort from the larger, more open systems in the region.
