Powder Ridge Park

Located in central Connecticut, Powder Ridge Park is one of the state's most famous ski slopes, with a history that dates back to the 1960s. Over the years, the resort has developed from a traditional ski resort to a modern, multifunctional winter resort with clear local roots.

The skiing is compact and manageable, with slopes aimed mainly at beginners and intermediate skiers. The terrain is relatively smooth but offers enough variety for technique training, night skiing and shorter sessions on the slopes. A well-developed snow cannon system is essential for operation and allows Powder Ridge to often stay open even during winters with limited natural snow.

In addition to alpine skiing, the resort is particularly known for its snow tubing, which attracts many visitors even outside the classic skiing crowd. Powder Ridge effectively functions as a year-round facility, but in winter it is a clear everyday slope where the focus is on accessibility, night skiing and easily accessible skiing rather than large vertical droper or advanced terrain.
