Snowy Range Ski Area

Snowy Range Ski Area is located in the Medicine Bow National Forest in southeastern Wyoming, just a short distance from the small town of Centennial. This is a classic local slope in the Rocky Mountains – a place where you ski a lot, avoid crowds and get a family atmosphere rather than a resort feel.

The ski area has 27 slopes and a vertical drop of about 990.8 feet, which goes a long way when the terrain is cleverly utilized. There is skiing for all levels, from easy beginner slopes to steeper options for those who want a little more challenge.

A clear thing about the Snowy Range is its location: it's closest to Laramie (about 31.7 miles away), which means that many people go here for day and evening skiing – not least people connected to the university in town. The result is a relaxed home-slope feeling where the focus is on skiing, not show.
