Stranda reviews (Page 2)

Ski resorts in Norway
What do you think about Stranda?

Must unfortunately agree with Skibum that Stranda is clearly overtaken. Certainly, fine sequences have been shown from the area in the ski slots, but that rally only comes with hell and such is only for movie companies with special conditions.

Otherwise, it was really muggy with rainfall in the amount of height and the little soft snow that existed before the rain was blown away during a night's storm. Pretty shabby and very snowy forest also helped to limit the possibilities for calm driving. The shooting is laughing little and is enough until one morning before the sadness begins.

They also shut down the different sides of the valley, and they seemed to be much more interested in serving the big school classes that came to visit than us who bought a weekly card. They closed the upper elevators to prevent the children from reaching the mountain.

No, you did not like a week in Stranda and I will be very skeptical of all the hype of similar resorts in the future. Considering what the tripping of all expensive food or oats, they would definitely have invested better in a trip to the Alps despite the bad snow year in the winter.

Strongly agrees that the southernmost Alps have probably the best area in the Nordic region when it comes to cruel skiing - not in piste but top trips and pillows dump is unbeatable.

Mjo was not really what I had imagined. I'm really disappointed. Have heard about Stranda for a while and decided to go there. Very labile with snow conditions. Rain in Feb? !!? , was not really what you thought and from the ski resort decided to close one side the valley!?!?! ie 2 of 5 lifts are completely sick. Apparently, you did so continuously during the winter. No info about this on the website. Very bad I think. If you pay full price on the lift card, you expect them to be open !!
The mountain is relatively small and, in my view, is a rather unclean standard. The lifts are old and worn and are a great adventure to get along with. Oily ski clothes became one of the memories of the creepy elevator. The scary cost of living, living and eating makes the Alps feel like a much better option.

The offpiste is simply awesome !! : D They may not be so many pistes, but there is such an amazingly good off-piste, the possibilities are many, and the snow is deep, and I'm going to defenditively go there again: D

Strandafjellet offers good snow conditions and nice slopes. The offpiste is also in high class. I also want to assign a cred to the plant because they dare to build the right-handed big jumps on the right side of the road (if you come from Ålesund and drive towards Geiranger). They often open in October-November. I currently live in Ålesund and will certainly spend a lot of hours on Srandafjället this winter!

Better than this, it probably will not be in the north. Combine the roughness of Narvik and the playgrounds in Riksgränsen and you have a good description of Stranda. Go to the north's best playhouse.
