The Vemdalskalet is my favorite of these two resorts. I have been to Vemdalen every winter since 1990. In the last two years it has been a bit monotonous but it will be fun now for the season when the new 6 chairlift will be ready. I'm just saying one thing did not go into the dash when it only fell 45 centimeters of snow. I did that and a friend we were probably first season 1998/1999.
The 1998/1999 season was the best for my part since 1990. Myked snow a little ice in the slopes and some people top.

Go to the vemdalskalet and just enjoy.

Badly tight for some snow when I was there. Better on the shell, the hovdalsback is terrific if only Sunday suns keep out of the way. A little too short only.

Winter 98/99 was an experience in these slopes, not forgetting the Wolf which offered outstanding off-piste skiing and where the lifts during the sensational season could be open until 21:00. The Vemdalsskalet is a definite favorite and with the summer's expansion in the skateboard with six-seat lifts and new slopes, you can already, in the summer heat, long for water in crystal form. Björnrike is more crousing with the board in a cutting turn.
The halfpipe, which I do not master, looks like being in good condition and usually draws a lot of people.
All in all, these backs complement each other in a beautiful way and in a winter you can not get the lessons. There are a variety of hotspots that you want selfish for yourself. Look for your own sake and forget for God's sake, not the Wolf, which lies 1 km from the Vemdalsskalets hotel. Be prepared to dull a little, but you're worth it.
Afterskiin and Nightclubs are always Top Of The Class, should be added.
At Vargencampen you will probably set up a caravan to get some economy in the accommodation if it starts to be a bit of skiing. Well met for an exciting season here in Björnrike / Vemdalen.

Do not listen so much to those who are up for a few days on an Easter week. Have 30 out of 90 days in the slopes and outside and in the case of Vemdalsskalet in particular, it has only been icing after major competitions. There are real snow artists who pissed here. They just trolled at times sometimes.

Again, hang on when the lift opens next season, it looks outrageously promising. start dancing the snow dance already now. The more we are ........

Even the craziest youth can be satisfied here. There are everything from drops up to 6 meters to well-ordered children's backpacks. (But I'm sorry for the drops :-D

When I was a little, Björnrike was the best place because of the nice and well-groomed slopes. But those who are looking for a bit more demanding driving such as steeper slopes and offpiste should get to a little bigger mountain. The Vemdalsskalet has more and bigger slopes, but they often become icy.

Good family place, but nothing for the crazy youth.

Björnrike is a clean family-run place with great skiing, nice lifts and a cozy après ski. However, the lifts are a minus, there are only anchor lifts and it is quite difficult for snowboarders. Björnrike is better than the vemdalsskalet, until the rally has come true, the vemdalsskalet wins points through the lifts. Go to Björnrike it's worth there.

Positive: Good Pipe, Go Pads, Perfectly Pisted Backs (Björnrike), Friendly Staff, Great Service, Great Ski Hire, A Skiing License applies to both Björnrike and Vemdalskalet, you can buy season passes that also apply in ÅRE, Good jump, Nice girls .

Negative: Odd slopes sometimes (Vemdalskalet), long lifts in high season, expensive.
