Wengen

Ski resorts in Switzerland
Located in the Bernese Oberland in central Switzerland, Wengen belongs to the Jungfrau ski area, along with Grindelwald-First, Lauterbrunnen, Mürren-Schilthorn and Interlaken. Anyone who has ever seen the legendary downhill race Lauberhornrennen, which has been held in Berns kanon in Wengen in January every year since 1930, on television or online has gotten a taste of what this historic ski resort has to offer. Spectacular four-thousand-metre peaks and large, beautiful ski areas that almost invisibly link with the neighbouring Grindelwald. And a ski system that works with the precision of a Swiss movement. The charming mountain village, on the slope of the foot of the Jungfrau, is car-free, so you can get here via the Wengernalpbahn railway. The nearest airport is Bern, about an hour by car. In total, there are 99,4 miles of piste, many of which are wide and gentle, designed for beginners and families. There are also several intermediate slopes, while it can be a little trickier for advanced skiers to find piste adventures that suit their taste.

Cozy city and the ridge is top. Located in a good system with varied rides. Have been here several times.
