Belleayre Mountain

Ski resorts in USA
Located in the Catskill Mountains in New York State, Belleayre Mountain is one of the classic ski resorts in the region. The resort is run by the state and has a clear focus on well-prepared piste skiing rather than extreme profiles or off-piste.
Belleayre has a vertical drop of about 1000.7 feet, which is relatively much for the area, and offers a coherent lift system with a good spread of slopes. The terrain is dominated by green and blue slopes, complemented by some longer and steeper red and black options that provide variety for more experienced skiers.

The ski area is known for wide slopes and smooth slopes, which makes for a calm and predictable ski. Snowmaking covers large parts of the system and contributes to stable conditions throughout the season. Belleayre is also one of the few ski resorts in the Catskills that regularly offers night skiing.

Belleayre Mountain is particularly suitable for skiers who prioritize piste quality, visibility and efficient skiing over size and advanced terrain, and is a popular choice for day visitors from the New York area.
