Fourth time in Champoluc which has become a favorite since the first time in 2005. Good and fairly challenging skiing with well-groomed slopes and hardly any queues (we have usually been here in March). Skiing mostly piste and is impressed with how well the surface holds. Was here v12 2025, got a dump of snow the week before so the whole system was powdered with 30-50cm of fresh snow. Got 4 peak days with sun, one day with half-assed weather and one day with complete "white out" about 5-10m visibility that made enjoyable skiing impossible! What impresses is the quality of the eateries on the slopes, nice fanilla driven places. Good sandwich for 6-7€, pasta dishes for about 12€, polenta with meat stew 14€, a 40cl beer 6€, a glass of wine 5€. Then there are lots of good restaurants in the village. Best is still La Grange at the Frachay lift 30min walk from the village. Bosse at Hotel Breithorn which was great, good breakfast, nice rooms, good bar, 2 restaurants and free ski and boot storage at Tako Ski by the lift. Will probably return for a 5th time!

Varied skiing with high lift capacity and few people on the slopes during v4 Monday to Friday

Spent a long weekend in Champoluc at the end of January. The ski resort is clearly aimed at you who are a better skier and can take you down most slopes. If you are a beginner, you should look elsewhere.
When we were there, the snow conditions were quite bad off-piste and there was therefore hardly any off-piste.
Overall, the lift system was quite good, it is mixed with both new and older lifts, but there was rarely a sausage stuffing anywhere in the system. The possibility of riding in several different valleys is also a big plus.
Before I went here, I had barely heard of Champoluc in particular, something I was probably alone in as the village was teeming with Swedes. Probably ran into more Swedes than Italians when I was down.
Will definitely go back here and then hope for more snow!

Good ski resort with varied skiing and the plus is that it is connected to several systems

Spent a ski season in Chamoluc and love it! Long, nice pistes with huge opportunities for off-piste! It is possible to ski untouched snow several weeks after snowfall. Unfortunately, the lift system is somewhat sensitive to wind, so the lifts that take you up to the top further into the ski system and the other valleys, Gresoney and Alanya have closed a bit now and then. Nice village with cozy restaurants and shops, if you are looking for nightlife you should look elsewhere but for for my part, the skiing and endless possibilities for off-piste and touring outweigh it.

Champoluc - Frachey - Stafal - Passo Salati
Great slopes! No lift queues and plenty of room on the slopes.
In the days before we arrived on 11/3, there had been about a meter of snow up in the mountains.
This had been taken care of by the piste machines, which in turn meant that the surface was perfect.
Some of the lifts have a number of years behind them but they still work. However, the seating comfort is perhaps not the best that I have experienced.
Good food at the mountain huts in the form of pizza, pasta and cold-cut delicacies.
All in all a good ski resort!

Week 12 2019☀️?
Great big system, all slopes were open all week, though snow conditions were varying depending on which height you are. Generally, the mountain guide told us "Antonio" from Champuluc.
"That there was some snow this year .."
... despite that, we found in our day trip fresh snow that came the week before.
The mountain guide this year cost about 600 SEK / day
Foothills and avalanche equipment must be rented separately or rented
Helicopter about 4000 SEK trip to about 4200 m h
Food in the hill type a pasta / soup about 8-12 euros. sandwich about 4-7 euros
We went as a family with STS Alpresor, Happy due to late flights we got 7 days skiing
That is, a bonus day.
To stretch a nice bonus visit at Champoluc SPA. Nice to hang out there a few hours after a day on the slopes.
The system has many fantastic long pistes.
Getting from Champoluc via Gressoney to Alagna takes their time. (on your own faster).
If you want to get back (vice versa) then we had as a benchmark to leave Alagna no later than 15:00 if you want to be on the safe side (the weekends when the slopes are filled by the Italians, maybe a little earlier when there will be some queues) The last connection the lift near to Champoluc CA closes at 16:30.
We got a week's glorious sun ☀️
My 6 best piste tips with long fall height! ?
1. V3 Olen (Alagna Valsesia) (+ v1 Alagna in good snow conditions)
2. G7 / a Salati
3. G10 / G4 / G3 chamois (beautiful part) -Jolanda1 -jolanda (a bit slush in the afternoon)
(At ponta jolanda according to my best restaurant)
4. B2 / B3 / B6 Pistone Betta (Betta) Nera della marble
5. C5 / C3 / C1 Sarezza -stafa 2- Del Basco
(C1 slashig in the afternoon when everyone is going down in Champoluc
6. C6 Sarezza-Contenery
Extra for those who want exciting challenge.
Punta Indren
good to bring avalanche equipment for their own safety.
Punta Indren highest ? height 3275 meters above sea level
There is something for everyone at Monterosa ski
