Ski resorts in Italy
What do you think about Champoluc?

Have been to the Alps for the first time and then I lived in Champoluc, but also went skiing in Gressoney and Alagna.

The backs of the Alps are absolutely wonderful compared to here in Sweden. There are long slopes, narrow slopes and naturally dingy. It is a challenge to get down these slopes.
Here the legs ache after several miles of skiing day after day. It's wonderful simply.

These three valleys are not so badly exploited yet, but they still have their charm and it is not crowded in the slopes. The longest lift queue I was in the meantime was about 3 minutes long.

Absolutely Cannon Place!

Perhaps just finding out what the previous printer told me, but there are hardly a few people here. Nice town and nice restaurants. The worst thing about the system is that it takes a long time to get up to the mountain. Two long and cold lifts in a row, then take another two cold lifts on. Upstairs there are large areas. The champo outfit is best down against Gressoney, as well as in Alagna, of course. If you want to get away early and not go so many transport lifts, you can hop on the bus and go a few kilometers down the valley. Cheap, fast and not as cold.
If you are looking for off-piste skiing, I still have to recommend Gressoney before Champo, from there it's easier to get out in the puff (VingAlpin goes there).
What's more: enjoy the food in the village (both restauragner and small deli shops) and buy great-looking wooden shoes!

This year (v.8) I'm going to Champoluc, the third consecutive year. Beautiful slopes, fun (!) Transport stretches (a bit unusual, actually!), Some people, except on weekends, and Alagna! Great skiing!
I will go back many times!
Have a nice day!

Absolutely wonderful ski resort. Includes everything you can imagine in a ski resort. Ok ... maybe the village might not be the best I've been to, but there were two really good resource, so I do not think so too, you can complain.
As for the ski, it was completely senseless. Soft pillows, lovely slopes and feta funparks. And the best of all, little people !!!
Sometimes you could be alone in the piste.
A real bell ski resort simply

I have read articles, listened to people boasting about this little unknown place. Could it really be so good here was my first thought. It has been in the long run to try this little place that is clamped in one of them three valleys that the ski system includes. But there has never been so much snow when we have had time. But at last the opportunity came. Lots of snow on the mountain and more were on its way.
Small is the village but what does it do when you have so high mountains around it. You can not even think about going out in the evening after a day here. My first thought when I and my partner after a lot of swings along the way up were, how can you enter so many Italians in this small town. We had some trouble finding accommodations but it finally settled. There are very many people here on weekends but the rest of the week is calm.
We were lucky already the first skiing day here. Nice weather! So we decided to go to Alagna (as you've heard more about.) But what we did not know was how slow it was possible to get the cabin from Alagna. We had to wait about an hour and a half. It's a bit hard to stand there and wait when you think about how many lifts you have left before you're back in Champoluc. Can easily become an expensive taxi ride if you are wrong.
The ride is very good here, but you will probably need some training before going down to Alagna without a guide. There are very large areas here. It's just taking care of yourself. But imagine before you try your own way. It can end with a very big rock jump. I promise!
The disadvantage of Chamopluc is that when it comes to mass of snow, they close the lifts to the other valleys. You are stuck with lots of skilled skiers who are looking for the same things as you. Massive hills in the woods. In such days it will be very quickly encountered. Now I'm talking about regular rides related to the lifts. Do you have $ just rent a guide and hope he shows you something else.
Otherwise, I am happy with this place. We were very good when we were here.
Before you leave, do not forget to buy a pair of handmade wooden shoes. They are crazy. He stays close to the elevator. One must only.

Were in Champoluc earlier this year and was pleasantly surprised. Had heard a lot about small system, boring place & no offpiste, except for Alagna. Sometimes it felt a little small, but in turn it attracts less tourists and lifeguards é virtually nonexistent. The Italians also like to stay in the piste so all the snow is untouched and easily accessible. The village is incredibly charming and it's absolutely fun to have fun in the evenings but not to the same extent as in some other places.

Were in Champoluc v.9 2000. Very nice place with plenty of sun, good restaurants and pretty good slopes. Minus, however, was that it was not that big, there was not much snow and the snow that was there was not that good. Should you go offpiste you should go to Alanga. The Champoluc offpile is not much to hang in the grain. However, got a good overall impression of Champoluc.

The small village of Champoluc with its magnificent surroundings (Gressoney / Alagna) caught my heart. We were down last week in March and what was suddenly missing was a lot of snow (what was OK), and there would be a lot of snow in this area, so it'll be fat fat - believe me! !

Were in Champoluc last year in January. A cool place with varied rides. When we were there fell about 1 - 2 meters of snow during the week which meant that the offpiste was everywhere. Do not forget to slip on the Gressoney side away from Alagna.
