Ski resorts in Italy
What do you think about Champoluc?

The skiing in Champoluc is more fun and more varied than in Cervinia, which lies a few valleys further afield. However, not as extremely snow proof.
The lift system is good and effective at the beginning, of a little mixed quality when you get into the system. But hardly any problems with queues and slopes are good and well groomed.
However, Champoluc is hardly anything for party owners. The village is small, but still the right Italian real, and something nightlife to talk about is not. There is skiing and a quiet after ski that applies. The boards can also find better places.
But if you do not have such great demands on entertainment, this is a little gem. We were there -07 and plan to return -08.

Me and my partner were there 07, I have been in many places but Champoluc is the warmest of the heart. Good slopes, great people. I stayed at Roche and which was really good. Will be back week 12 2008, hope Calle and Johan are there this year again!

Do not really know why it would have been closed week 7 (one exception?) Because all the slopes have been open all season. Until a week ago when the piste down to the alagna closed. The piste down to frachey is always closed (it's really just a road that's not pissed), where the ride is at your own risk (not currently).

Soon it's time for spring snow ... in April it's all usually falling down a lot of snow .. Too bad that champoluc closes the lift on April 10th .. but they promised to drive the freighter all month if snow is there ... So watch out ... take a ticket down to april and run a bit of a mess with us ..

I have been in Champoluc v.7 this year and it was not that great. There had not been any snow for a long time, so half of all the backs were closed. A small pass by the best children in the park or reached but they had a very big ski school if you were going to go with your children so it's a very good place

Underrated offpiste paradise. Went on 4 2004 and had a great deal of snow. Very off-piste. The entire national park above Gressonney is amazingly big with huge spaces.
Suitable for the serious skier who does not care so much if there is discouragement or discouragement. Bring a DVD player or a book.

Terrific well prepared slopes. The best I ever went in, the strength was that they were fine all day. It was like going up in the morning and going in the best manchestra fast all day.
Unfortunately, they did not have any further park, there were basically three kickers throughout the system.
But you can not get everything.

I would like to return there. Especially at Villa Anna Maria where we lived the family was incredibly hospitable and offered really good Italian home cooking.

I think Champoluc was very surprising. That's the positive way. The slats were very nice and long. Now I'm counting on all of Monterosa skiing. It was obvious that the Italians were not in the slopes at all (at least almost) during the weekdays. But if you go away for a week, you go on Saturday, there's nothing to think about right away. Half a day with queues is not the whole world? Which ski resort in the mountains is almost empty during the week? It would be Vallsberget in Piteå.

Highly recommended

Have been to Champoluc at 3 events so far. The skiing is wonderful, some people and very sunny. Spontaneous applause for super crai which is the most charming shop in town! Will be back there today again and I would like to think there are more cases. Actually, I would like to give Champoluc more than a week of 16 a year but my friends also have their favorite in the Alpine world. fun that there are still a lot of ski bums in cahmpoluc so it's not just me and my gang!

Went well in Champoluc. Possibly Gressoney is even better if you prioritize off-piste and skiing. The forest fires are best in Gressoney. In Alagna you can get weatherproof down the valley if the wind takes you.
(Alagna, Gressoney and Champoluc are in the same system "Monte-Rosa ski")

Incredibly good offpiste opportunities that are relatively easy to get hold of. The Italians are vigilant to get out of the piste or away from the espresso at the good and reasonable restaurants.

I will gladly come back! Good skiing, great food at reasonable prices and many possibilities for all types of skiing. Possible after-ski factor is bothering in any other place.
