Kappruet

Ski resorts in Sweden
Snow parks and speed records don't have much to gain at Kappruet, 2.5 miles from Funäsdalen in western Härjedalen. Imagine instead a slightly old-fashioned ski resort, with a cozy warming hut built like a Lapp hut and a restaurant that serves locally grown and freshly baked waffles with cloudberry mylta. Here you will find real peace, quiet and natural snow.
Kappruet in the village of Messlingen is Funäsfjällen's latest newcomer, which consists of a total of five ski areas. During the 1970s, there was a construction boom and several new holiday homes were built. Baggårdens Fritidsby invested heavily and decided to supplement their holiday village with ski slopes, as the slope in Messlingen was not enough. And skiing was healthy in Kappruet's slopes during the 80's and 90's. Fast forward to the 2000s when Sara and Stefan, two ski-crazy Scanians, found an advertisement on the internet that a small ski resort was for sale in the innermost mountains of Härjedalen. The first guests and skiers were welcomed in December 2009.
