Ramundberget

Ski resorts in Sweden
Ramundberget or "Ramis" in Härjedalen is a ski resort with plenty of natural snow and ski slopes in all weather conditions. The season ending in the spring tends to be very successful, with lots of people and good skiing. Up to a few years ago, the mountain only used natural snow, making the whole facility much softer and with better quality. Unfortunately, this is no longer possible since the winters have become too warm.
The mountain offers high mountain skiing, as well as forest skiing. All in a nice environment and usually good weather.

Winter tourism at Ramundberget started in 1934-1936, when students from "The Academic Mountain Club" visited the resort in order to ski. The farmer couple that they stayed with during this time had invested in beds so that everyone would fit. When it turned out that they got double the pay they had asked for, the entrepreneur got an idea. It was the starting point for the tourist era, which is still going strong today. The first lift was built in 1959, a trailer lift, and since then the resort has been constantly evolving.

Varied, not just slopes in a row. Lovely forest. Nice off-piste. Good area for the smallest children.
