Little Switzerland

Little Switzerland is a classic ski slope in Wisconsin, located in the Kettle Moraine area northwest of Milwaukee. This is one of the state's oldest ski resorts and has long served as a local hub for downhill skiing in the Midwest.

The terrain is shaped by the Ice Age moraine landscape and offers short but clear fall lines with a relatively steep character in relation to the region. The slopes are divided into both easier and more demanding slopes, with the steeper slopes often cited as some of Wisconsin's most challenging. The focus is clearly on piste skiing rather than nature skiing, with efficient snowmaking that secures the season even in milder winters.

Little Switzerland is well known for its night skiing, which attracts many local skiers after the end of the working day, as well as being an important training ground for young people and clubs in the area. The resort lacks alpine expanses, but compensates with intense skiing, fast laps and a clear "ski slope feeling".

This is a ski resort that is appreciated for its history, its consistent approach and its role as an everyday mountain – a place where skiing is more about the joy of skiing and repetitive laps than about destination tourism.
