Located just north of Milwaukee, Sunburst is a small, family-friendly resort that attracts many day skiers from the city. The drop height is about 213.3 feet, which says a lot about the setup: here it's about fast laps, simple logistics and getting a lot of skiing out of it in a short time.
The lift system is adapted to keep the flow going even when there are a lot of people. You can get up with three double chair lifts and several simpler options such as rope pulls and conveyor belts in the beginner's area. For families with children and beginners, it is easy to get started, and there is also a clear focus on tubing, with its own lifts and areas for that.
Sunburst is simply a classic "Milwaukee slope" – just the right size, easy to understand and perfect for a night on the slopes or a spontaneous holiday without having to travel far.
