What do you think about Ramundberget?

Our first meeting with Ramundberget has probably stained us a lot. It was the first time we searched us from the cabin north of Idre and north to Funäsfjällen. We had actually planned to stay in Funäsdalen and try out this day but after "Hasse" at the Sportmaffi in Funäsdalen told us that the option of not moving on to Ramis was unthinkable so we gave away the last 10-15 minutes to Ramis . Approximately halfway, the bluebird weather in Funäs was changed to the weather and snowfall, and when we arrived at the Osthangsliften (first encountered in Ramis) we found that the lift had not been open for several days due to snowfall and wind. Now, on the other hand, people came down in shattered pillows in the piste. So fast on the stuff and out. Basically the whole system was dumped and we have rarely had such fun skiing days like this.

At that time, Ramundberget did not produce any snow itself, but the slopes consisted only of natural snow. And even when the slopes were raised, everything was just soft and beautiful. No hard puckles or so.

The fall in Ramis is not huge and the Osthangsliften might need an upgrade to increase speed a bit, but few Swedish ski mountains offer the same genuine and beautiful environment. It was here we left the crowds during those years before the children arrived. Normally we came up in maybe 15-20 days in just Ramis every season and then peaked with some Alpine weekends.

Food has always been of the simpler variety and a hamburger at Rudolf has always worked well. Nowadays restaurant food is moved to the inn, which is good but I can not miss Rudolf.

If you live in Ramis you have to go to Funäs to shop but it is clearly affordable, about 10-15 by car.

Should I buy a cabin in the Swedish mountains, Ramis would get my voice in the next few years when her daughter goes from being able to help herself up until she is a full-fledged freerider. There is plenty of fun and challenging terrain and even dad can appreciate the osthangs forest :)

PS. The picture shows very clearly what are the reasons in Ramis ...

The top we have been to Ramunberget
Over 40 years. Have drove a lot of skis down
In Europe too. But Ramis is worth a visit.

A real favorite place. Not very big but with very varied skiing. In addition, nice people and a genuine mountain feel. Just hoping for a more modern lift at the osthang

Do not understand the hypnosis around Ramundberget. Just a lot to drive, then wonder if you got Romme before they built the restaurants.

Been in Ramundberget under 14 sports holidays (v.8). Always great service and good food, because we have been there a lot, you will find the best rides. Tip! Take the osthang lifts up, go up on the top turn left and hold around 20/30 meters. There is the "casserole", when it's good with snow, it's a terrible ride, keep in mind skiing skiers to get down to the cottages in the osthang.

Was there for the 3rd time but had the trouble to come when the Osthangsliften stood still due to repair. Something we were not told when buying the lift card.
Having no access to the slopes at the Osthanget was no higher I can say.

Nice staff who work in the elevator but by the way, the treatment was a disaster.

Do not know if the 75-year-old got ridiculous or just a bit too freaky?

Next year we will take Vemdalen or Tänndalen instead.

One of Sweden's best ski resorts! The people, the slopes, the food and the feeling are absolutely wonderful! Sälen can get there behind, damn beautiful park fixed card, both for beginners and more advanced riders. UNABLE offpiste

5/5

Have been to Ramundberget a number of times and one of the biggest advantages is that (just as they say on the website) Ramundberget is the ski resort at the end of the road. There are not so many people in the slopes.

They only have the right snow, not a snow cannon as far as the eye reaches! It makes the slopes soft and nice. Overall, there is a good selection on many beautiful slopes. They are well managed even though the slopes at Skars can be picked up after a while. At Skars it is also easy to go to the side into their forest park.

Their park is really nice as there are so clearly divided lines. It starts with a green and blue for themselves so the beginners do not disturb those who run in the bigger jumps. Not the biggest range of rails and similar people I have heard that they are going to expand that part below Dreamland.

Restaurants are not that good, but the range is good enough. Rudolf is probably the best heating cabin / I've been to. It's cozy but unfortunately too crowded during rush hours. Then there are some more expensive places too. New for this year is that they build a top restaurant that will be very nice!

They also have a wide range of cross country trails and they are close to Bruksvallarna, where the national team often trains and competes.
