Treetops Resort

Ski resorts in USA
Treetops Resort in northern Michigan may be best known for its golf, but in the winter, the area transforms into a family resort with a focus on piste skiing and tubing. The slopes are located along a ridge overlooking the Sturgeon River Valley, which adds a little extra feeling to the skiing – especially when the light is low and the surrounding forest is covered in snow.
The skiing consists of 23 slopes, mainly adapted for beginners and intermediate skiers. This makes Treetops an easy-to-ride place where you can grind turns at a leisurely pace, go with children or take a day of skiing without having to chase the steepest lines. The tubing area is also a big part of the experience and is usually a safe bet for mixed groups.

This is not a "hardcore" destination, but a winter resort where the whole thing is the thing: easily accessible skiing, nice views, lots of forest around and a setup that is perfect for a relaxed family weekend.
