Blidinje is located in the nature park of the same name in Herzegovina, on the Risovac side of Čvrsnica. It is the most distinctly alpine resort in the southern part of the country, with a lake, forests, and a more Mediterranean climate than the mountains around Sarajevo.
The skiing is limited: approximately 3.7 miles of slopes, a detachable four-person chairlift from about 4,242 to 5,079 feet, plus a drag lift and a beginner lift. The vertical drop is just over 820 feet. That is enough for a day, but not for a week of piste skiing alone.
Blidinje is a good fit if you want to combine straightforward skiing with the nature park, or if you are looking for a small resort in Herzegovina rather than the Olympic mountains around Sarajevo.
