Vlašić

Ski resorts in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Vlašić is located in central Bosnia, with skiing centered around the Babanovac area above Travnik. It’s a mid-sized mountain in the region, where the day often revolves around groomed runs that are easy to get a feel for, and where much of the vibe comes from everything being focused around the same base area.
The skiing itself is listed at about 5.9 miles of runs and 6 lifts, so don’t expect a massive network, but it’s enough to put together a solid day on the slopes. There’s also night skiing on lit runs on certain evenings, which makes the area popular for shorter sessions when winter is in full swing.

When it comes to snow, Vlašić is a mountain that can deliver great conditions when winter really sets in, but like many lower-elevation mountains in the region, it benefits from snowmaking. There’s access to man-made snow in parts of the system, which is often crucial for keeping the groomed runs reliable when temperatures fluctuate.

If you want to get off-piste, there’s surrounding forest that can offer short side hits when fresh snow falls, but this is primarily a place for groomed runs, night skiing, and a straightforward ski day close to the Sarajevo area.
