Vlašić

Vlašić is located in central Bosnia, with skiing centered around Babanovac above Travnik. It is a medium-sized mountain in the region where the day often revolves around easily navigable groomed runs, and much of the atmosphere comes from everything being concentrated around the same base area.

The skiing is listed at around 5.9 miles of runs and 6 lifts, so you should not expect a huge system, but it is enough for a good day on the slopes. There is also night skiing on illuminated runs on certain evenings.

In terms of snow, Vlašić is a mountain that can deliver excellent conditions when winter is in full swing, but like many lower-elevation mountains in the region, it benefits from snowmaking. Artificial snow is available in parts of the system, which is usually crucial when temperatures fluctuate.

If you want to venture off-piste, the surrounding forest can offer shorter side-country runs after fresh snow, but this is primarily a destination for groomed skiing and night skiing. Vlašić is best suited for an uncomplicated day of skiing in central Bosnia, with Travnik as the nearest city.
