Ravna Planina

Ravna Planina is located in Gornje Pale, about 1.2 miles from Pale and 12.4 miles from Sarajevo. It is a modern resort that opened during the 2014–15 season and is home to the country’s first gondola. The elevation is lower than at Jahorina, ranging from approximately 3,018 to 4,203 feet.

The resort officially lists approximately 7.8 miles of slopes. The main run is about 4,593 feet long and FIS-certified. There are few lifts: one 10-passenger gondola, one surface lift, and one magic carpet. The terrain lies below the tree line, with mostly easy skiing and artificial snow as a supplement. A gondola connection to Jahorina is planned, but the areas are not yet connected.

Ravna Planina is a good choice if you want a newer, more compact ski resort near Sarajevo, with a gondola and family-friendly terrain rather than an extensive trail network.
