What do you think about Chamonix?

I agree that Chamonix is a world class ski resort, but it is also hard competition. It's going to be very fast and if you only go down a week or three, you should have a sabla trip, in order to get to know what's so good. I was down for a month in the mid 90's and I think it snowed 20 days ... that way I do not think again and I want to keep my memories uninhabited so now I go elsewhere and advise anyone who does not want down the whole season to Look for smaller locations outside the Charter range to get more out of the skiing. But then there are those who want more than skiing at their skiing holiday ... I have heard;)

have a couple of lovely rides to Chamonix and can say it is Europe's BC paradise. For anyone who wants large spaces offpiste, with or without forest, Chamonix is the near paradise you come.

not much more to say except that it is absolute weekend, among the best places I went on and gladly go there anytime!

Chamonix may have the best ski mountain in the world! Grand Montes. The only problem is that everyone knows about it and that everyone is hanging here. A puder day is the first to be in the queue. If you want more snow, less queue and more drive then you go to Brevent / Flegere or Le tour when they dumped. However, an oak track from the top of the GM and down the front or back (watch out for the glacier cracks only) should be experienced! Now we are talking big areas, high speed and a lot of fall! Do not forget the pillow layer only.

Best aftershine is undoubtedly Chambre Nuef. May be among the absolute hottest in all the alps.
Forwards 7 to 8 o'clock, after 4 cans of beer and when the band starts killing in the name of, you will be guilty not see a single person sitting down.

Chickenwings at MBC must be tested (Mondays half price), are you there for a week, away from you the duck at Munchies. Fyllekäk on Pocoloco are the ones that apply. ;) Normal food is best on Super-U.
Do not miss the theme nights at Southbar and disconight at Le Garage on Wednesdays.

In short, you could say that Cham is a place you should spend some time on.
Wonderful place to do the season. If you stay for a week, you will hardly experience a third part of all that exists. especially if you do not dot a week with good snow.

For you to season. Stay until the lifts close in early May.
DO NOT go home in the middle or begin April.
Best skiing is clear in April. especially last two weeks when it just dumps and dumps all the time. All people are as blown away and as long as you do not go too much on GM you will have huge areas for yourself and your friends.
Example example how we spent last weeks in Cham this spring:
Flegere, 30-40-50 cm cushions all the time. Number of people in the system: 20, out of 5-7 of them, we were and that another 5-7 went only piste. :) Did I say that the sun is shining right too?

Chamonix is the capital of the Alps. Here is a l l t. You will not be disappointed.

In Chamonix ...

... then snow goes to Grands montets.
... there are two real Swedish places: south bar and chambre neuf. Here you will hang.

... should you go on a couple of really fat layers.
... do you want to party in style, go to No escape.
... you're going to party like a bummer, go to Le garage.
... do not bother you with the guards at the garage.

... is the fulvodkan victoroff that applies.
... do you best to live in südghettot.
... you will learn what middle party means.
... sleep on the le tour bus, only chance of powernap you will get on all day.
... afterski means beer, screaming and dancing on the tables, do not sit at them!
... to soak up full of aftershine does not mean you do not go out in the evening - afterskin is just heating.

January 4, 08, it was time to jump on the bus with the poles down to Chamonix after 24-26 hours on a bus that was overtaking quickly.

Chamonix is, in my view, a complete ski resort that really has everything! Between the various areas there are ski buses that go all day so it is very easy to get from area to area. But be there in good time when you go home when the lifts close for then there can be very people.
In the various ski areas you can find everything from long beautiful slopes to steep and demanding and also a wonderful and easily accessible offpiste. The grand montets road is definitely to be recommended as I think is the best area in Chamonix, it's nothing for the beginner but there are other areas like, for example, les houches where there are a little easier backs. If it's sunny and you're looking for a beautiful goggel burner but also good skiing, you'll definitely go on the Flechere and Brevent sun side where the sun is gasing all day.

If you do not feel like cooking and cooking after a day of cushioning, I can recommend midnight express which has the world's goaste hamburger according to many!

So Chamonix is definitely world-class and I will go back many times here so if you have the chance go here!

Over and out!

Hello!
At the beginning of the year (2008) they were daxx to pack the bags to go down to the capital of Chamonix in the Alps! Me and my friends traveled down with Lion Alpin, bus + accommodation for 10 days.

Chamonix is a really complete ski resort. Here you will find ALL that have to do with downhill skiing. The various areas are connected by bus, buses are frequent, but there are many people to go with. If you are a little beginner, maybe the Le Tour area may be something for you. If you want nice days in the sun, it's Le Brévent or La Flégre that applies.

For those who are more experienced and looking for a challenge or those looking for the perfect off-piste yacht, it's Les Grands Montets that applies. Here you will find plenty of powder snow to create your own beautiful line down the mountain. Les Grands Montets is undoubtedly the best area I've been to when it comes to skiing. If you are in Chamonix then spend many days here!

In the case of afterski, the South Bar is applicable. A Swedish place with a really nice atmosphere. They also have a very good live band! There are also many other nice afterski places clearly.

When you get hungry in the evening, go to Midnight Express which is down the main street. There they serve lightly grilled baguettes with a few fries and ham in. Really good!

+ World class

"In France, you do not like to speak English

Chamo may not be the best ski resort in the Alps, but in terms of festivals it is definitely one of the best.
The evening begins at Chamber 9 or South Bar around the 11-12 sneak and take some drinks and sprinkle snacks with some loose people like some still wearing ski clothes. After standing there and picking up some people and getting rid of it, it carries on to The Escape, which is a sophisticated nightclub with a little higher prices but nice local and nice people. After dancing and clearing a part there, the last destination is Le Garge at three o'clock where the champagne is flowing and the account goes away. The garage closes at 5 o'clock and after it's after-party at Gustavia or any other of the hotels. Also check out Chamonix Casino, peace!

Va in chamonix beautiful 8 2006 ... Went with the lion alpine and stayed at Maeva la Riviere. The accommodation was perefkt for me, good location as close to the ski bus, afterskin and center. Also the accommodation standard was good for those who do not need to stay at 5 star.

The night before the day we came down, it had snowed a lot, for our trip for the rest of the week, it was nice weather and there was no more snow needed on the slopes. The skiing was absolutely wonderful with good opportunities for offpiste but a big minus for the whole trip was having to take a ski bus from area to area, nothing appreciated if you want to go as much as possible. The neighborhood of Chamonix I highly recommend is La Flegere and Les Grand Montes. Both of these areas have a beautiful blend of beautiful red / black slopes and lovely offpiste, but be cut off after this offpiste is quickly harvested. The queues were located only at the big lifts up to the system, where you could stand for a while, but when you were up there you never had to wait more than 3 minutes on a lift.

Chamonix is an absolutely wonderful city that you can find the most in. I also recommend South Bar a nice bar with very young festive Swedes.

I was really pleased with my chamonix trip. Only the negative is that you have to go bus to get to the different systems, a big minus in my opinion. May be back to Cham but probably not in the next few years.

I've been in Cham three years now and now the season 05/06 I'll be in the whole season. It's a lovely "city" with cool heart and fun people. Mountains are big and you can drive quite challenging rides, but you may often need some help to find the right places safely. Here are the number of skilled skiers as well and they mean that there is a sick hot on the powder. Since then, none of the cetaceans want to share their favorite places because of this, it's a bit sad, but it's a bit sad. In summary, I can say that I've had crap on the season here but will never be back for a season.
