Chamonix is, in my view, a complete ski resort that really has everything! Between the various areas there are ski buses that go all day so it is very easy to get from area to area. But be there in good time when you go home when the lifts close for then there can be very people.
In the various ski areas you can find everything from long beautiful slopes to steep and demanding and also a wonderful and easily accessible offpiste. The grand montets road is definitely to be recommended as I think is the best area in Chamonix, it's nothing for the beginner but there are other areas like, for example, les houches where there are a little easier backs. If it's sunny and you're looking for a beautiful goggel burner but also good skiing, you'll definitely go on the Flechere and Brevent sun side where the sun is gasing all day.

If you do not feel like cooking and cooking after a day of cushioning, I can recommend midnight express which has the world's goaste hamburger according to many!

Chamonix is ​​a really complete ski resort. Here you will find ALL that have to do with downhill skiing. The various areas are connected by bus, buses are frequent, but there are many people to go with. If you are a little beginner, maybe the Le Tour area may be something for you. If you want nice days in the sun, it's Le Brévent or La Flégre that applies.

For those who are more experienced and looking for a challenge or those looking for the perfect off-piste yacht, it's Les Grands Montets that applies. Here you will find plenty of powder snow to create your own beautiful line down the mountain. Les Grands Montets is undoubtedly the best area I've been to when it comes to skiing. If you are in Chamonix then spend many days here!

In the case of afterski, the South Bar is applicable. A Swedish place with a really nice atmosphere. They also have a very good live band! There are also many other nice afterski places clearly.

When you get hungry in the evening, go to Midnight Express which is down the main street. There they serve lightly grilled baguettes with a few fries and ham in. Really good!

Chamo may not be the best ski resort in the Alps, but in terms of festivals it is definitely one of the best.

Va in chamonix beautiful 8 2006 ... Went with the lion alpine and stayed at Maeva la Riviere. The accommodation was perefkt for me, good location as close to the ski bus, afterskin and center. Also the accommodation standard was good for those who do not need to stay at 5 star.

The night before the day we came down, it had snowed a lot, for our trip for the rest of the week, it was nice weather and there was no more snow needed on the slopes. The skiing was absolutely wonderful with good opportunities for offpiste but a big minus for the whole trip was having to take a ski bus from area to area, nothing appreciated if you want to go as much as possible. The neighborhood of Chamonix I highly recommend is La Flegere and Les Grand Montes. Both of these areas have a beautiful blend of beautiful red / black slopes and lovely offpiste, but be cut off after this offpiste is quickly harvested. The queues were located only at the big lifts up to the system, where you could stand for a while, but when you were up there you never had to wait more than 3 minutes on a lift.
